New Baby!

I bought a new lens today! 18-200mm, I can’t wait to try it out!

Getty View Trail Hike

Today we did the Getty View Trail, we had to check out everything we had to look out for before we entered the hike.

There’s nothing like a Sunday morning hike by the 405 freeway!

We made it to the top, awesome views over Los Angeles,

A mansion, waiting for the fire

Beverly Hills

Cabin crew, arm your doors for departure and crosscheck.

We checked out Los Angeles from the birds eye view today.

Santa Monica Bay

The Pier

I always get lost in the tiniest of towns, but I don’t remember ever getting lost in Los Angeles. I actually find it super easy to find my way around Los Angeles, you ether go north, south, east or west, all you need is to check on the sun to find out which direction you are facing!

Your co-pilot!

The Southern California coast line.

I’ve been flying a bunch of times before, and I’ve even jumped out of planes a couple of times, but I have never been in the front seat before, it was super cool!

Downtown Los Angeles

We made it back to sea level just in time, I was THIIIIS close to being sick all over the plane…

Looptroop Rockers

I got an assignment for school and checked out Looptroop Rockers website on Tuesday, only to find out that they were playing at the Viper Room yesterday!

Fern Canyon Nature Trail and Rock Hill & Old Zoo Park

The fall is here and we dont have to get up in cracker dawn to avoid the heat for our hikes.

We were pretty much lost even before we had stared the hike today, I dont know what it is, but we have been unlucky with finding our way around lately.

We hiked passed this ladder…

It wasnt fenced off and there were no signs so we thought we had to explore!

W is living on the edge!

We didnt wanna go down the same way and we found this path going up, much more fun!

We made it to a paved road and thought it was weird when we came to a fence. Good view over Downtown LA.

oops, we were probably not supposed to climb that ladder!

We made it to the abandoned zoo.

The cages are still there after 45 years.

It was like a labyrinth with lots of small rooms and cages. I dont think you can find any abandoned place around LA that hasnt been tagged.

Dont feed the animals!

It wasn’t me!

This is apparently how it goes down around here while Yours Truly is a good student and deep asleep; friends staying up all night watching the sunrise. At least they were kind enough to document it with my camera!

My Working Station

Everyone at work got a jar to keep healthy snacks in so we don’t run out of energy throughout the day. We are supposed to fill it up with nuts, but I like popcorn better!

I got a new computer at work, it took all Friday to set it up… the IT guy was supposed to be there at 9am, so he showed up at 11am. Once he was done with his stuff, I could deactivate all the adobe programs on my old computer and install them on the new computer, and give my old machine to the lab which got upgraded from a laptop.
I am happy, it is still not a Mac, but now I have a big 22″ screen, I like it! I can unfortunatley not sow you what I am working on just yet though.

Civil War Event

After the hike today, we drove up to Moorpark to check out the Civil War event they had going on this weekend. I realized I should probably study some American history as I didn’t know much about the civil war. Here’s some shots from the show.

White Horse Canyon Trail Hike

We did a fairly easy hike today, only 1.5 hours.

A good thing with a short hike; no one really get the time to become cranky!

We usually do pretty good and manage to follow the trail without getting off the path. Today’s trail was a little confusing though, and we got off beat a little.

Trying to get reception on the phone so we could use the GPS and figure out where exactly we were on the map.

Orange break!

We found our way back to the trail!

Since the hike was so short, everyone was still in a good mood when we reached the bottom of the hill again.

Yappy Hour

I was asked by my former boss to help out during a dog event at Park La Brea. All I had to do was basically just standing there and smile and greet dogowners and answer any questions that came up about the company.

Melissa, owner of Melissa’s Mutt Hutt and her rescue dog Burrito.

A lot of people are picking on Burrito, cos he is kind of obese. He is put on a strict diet now though and has apparently already lost 5 pounds, which is a lot for such a small dog!

There wasnt a lot of dogs showing during the first hour so I was put off duty and could go home fairly early.
