I should’ve taken a nap, but I did 10 laps in the pool instead, and after dinner we headed out for a Johnny Walker tasting.
It seems like these tasting are getting more lame for each time we are doing them. We have done a few Johnny Walker tastings before, so we kind of knew the basics already, and that was good because this tasting was not very informative.
The space was super cool, but they pretty much just gave us 4 drinks and let us run with it. The pretty girls in the mini skirts serving the drinks was not of much help either, since they did not know anything about the various whiskeys.

Blood Moon
Somewhere around here I was stupid and was gonna change lens on my camera. I never got the right settings back so I gave up. The moon turned red, but not really blood red. Still very cool!
Paddle Marina Del Rey
We saw the usual boats, house boats, birds and sea lions, but we also saw dolphins in the middle of the marina, just a few feet away from us! How awesome! I didn’t even attempt to take a photo of them, since my camera is eh… not that good.
The paddle team!
After the paddle session and lunch, I headed over to the golf store to pick up a couple of clubs so I can be a proper golfer.
Doing it Michael Jackson style with only one white glove! Third time at the driving range and I am hitting more consistent, but still not very far. I should get a proper lesson so I don’t teach myself bad habits.
Playing Golf
My goal for the day was to hit as far as the sand dune. Once I figured out how to swing with the hip I hit the sand pretty consistent. I later found out it was 100 yards.
I had a quite tiresome meeting after my golf session, and then out for dinner. A homeless man gave me a rose in exchange for my leftovers. I told him I really didn’t need a rose, but he wanted to give it to me anyway. How sweet!
Mammoth Day 2
I never want to stop, but my legs thought I had enough by 2pm so it was time to head back to Los Angeles. About halfway home we were considering doing a 180 turn, head back up to the mountain and call in sick tomorrow. But the grown ups inside of us spoke out and made us continue all the way back to Los Angeles.

Mammoth Mountain
Who knew we would have the best conditions of the season in April? Love the storm that rolled in over the past week! The snow was still cold even though the sun was strong, perfect conditions for new skis!
Why I love California? There’s a vegan cafe at the ski resort! I have a love-hate relationship to the hippies.
And yes, I did this…
On top of the Sierra, 11 053 feet up.
After a good 5 hours of skiing, my legs were dead tired and it was time to hit up Schat’s Bakery to pick up dinner.
Dessert for dinner while watching Mrs Doubtfire, to exhausted to even change the channel.
Skis are waxed and it’s past 9 pm, is it time to go to bed yet?
