Burro tunnel, biking, hiking and the fault line!

When I was scrolling instagram in search of tips on how I could improve my sourdough baking I came across Cast Your Bread, an organization that bakes bread for free grocery bags that are being distributed throughout different neighborhoods. The free grocery bags has been helpful for families that have been struggling through the pandemic. I’ve been making 8 loaves every other week.

I’ve been wanting to check out Watts Towers for quite some time and today is the day! Unfortunately they’re being renovated. I’ll have to come back another time.

Here’s a photo I found on wikipwdia of what I was expecting to see.

First time baking over open fire. Think it got a little too hot in the dutch oven so the loaf came out charred, but we could just peel of the coal and there was a delicious loaf underneath!

I’m making sure everyone has bread through the pandemic.

Leo made me oven mittens! I gave him bread as payment.

Things are slowly opening back up.

I feel like I’m starting to get a hang of this sourdough thing!
