Photo Shoot in the Pool

A friend was doing a photo shoot in the pool for a project. She brought out the big guns, I was happy with my $50 point & shoot camera! I’m starting to get a hang of it now.

Ghostbusters at Gallery 1988

I woke up to a text message saying “I’m picking you up at 9am”. I don’t think I was quite ready for it, but we wanted to hit the golf practice before it got to hot.

Gallery 1988 had a Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary Art Show. I wasn’t gonna go, but my friends were still in line when I got there to meet up for dinner, so I cut in line and joined them.

Birthday Dinner and Party

Martin is in town, and it is his birthday so we had to go out for dinner! We went to Osteria La Buca in Hollywood.

I gave up gluten for Lent. Don’t ask me why… You do get one cheat day a week though and my cheat day is Saturday, so a beer was a given. You can’t beat having a drink out of a jar, right?

We headed over to Sawtelle and GR2 that was celebrating 20 years of business.

Free Museum Day

Today was free museum day in Los Angeles. We headed to LACMA, as did a lot of other people.

I’ve been to LACMA many times before, but I’ve been busy socializing so I haven’t really paid attention. They do have some really cool original art!

Dec 25th, Double Wide IPA

I am little bummed the beer calendar is over, but it’s just 11 months until the next one starts!

Double-Wide India Pale Ale from Boulevard Brewing Company, Kansas City, Missouri. 8.5 alc/vol. A 5 out of 5!

The label says:
The classic India Pale Ale is a traveler’s beer, aggressively hopped to withstand the long, hot ocean voyage to the British West Indies. Our Double-Wide IPA, on the other hand, is more at home on the amber waves of the American Plains. While this modern day prairie schooner may not resemble a graceful sailing sloop, ur liberal hopping regiment does make her virtually “twister-proof”. Keep some on the cellar to enjoy while waiting for the al clear to sound.
Label art based on a painting by Scott Gobber.

Posters

Finally got all 3 posters up on the wall!

Yeah, I think it really tied the room together, haha!

Stories at GR2

The opening night for GR2’s “Stories” was tonight.

Yeah, you guessed right, Martin was there.

Chocking Hazard? Well, I don’t think they’re all wrong, I guess you can get chocked from choking.

This is what Sawtelle Blvd is gonna look like in a few years.
