no.9 Super Bock

Super Bock, lager form Portugal. 4.9% alc./vol
Dont know what I was expecting, but this was actually really good! Maybe I’ve been drinking a lit of darker beers lately and my taste buds appreciated a lager. A nice surprise! 4 out of 5.

no.8 Wyder’s Dry Raspberry Hard Cider

I’m not gonna lie, I was super disappointed when I got my “beer” today.
Wyder’s Dry Raspberry Hard Cider from England.
4% alc./vol

I havnt had cider in many years, and I’m not planning on having another one anytime soon.
This one was super sweet at first and then a little bitter after taste.
To sweet, and it’s not a beer. 1 out of 5. I was glad when it was over.
(Sid didnt like it either)

no.7 Salvator Double Bock

I was a little disappointed at first when I unwrapped and saw the cap as I thought I had gotten the same beer as no.5 but it turned out this was a different one!
Paulaner Salvator Double Bock from Paulaner Brauerei, Munich Germany
7.9% alc./vol

A good Christmas beer but a little to strong for my taste, I give it a bah, 3 out of 5.

no.6 Abita Beer Turbodog

Todays beer: Turbodog from Abita Brewing Company, Abita Springs, Louisiana. 5.6% alc/vol.

An brown ale that was supposed to have a chocolate taste, but I thought it was a little watery. I like the label. 3 out of 5

no.5 Paulaner Oktoberfest Marzen

Todays beer went down without me even noticing it.
Paulaner Oktoberfest Marzen, Ale from Paulaner Brauerei, Munich Germany. 5.8% alc./vol.

Really easy to drink, not much flavor for being an ale. I give it 3 out of 5.

no.4 Hop Wallop

Today’s beer was Hop Wallop from Victory Brewing Company, Downingtown, Pennsylvania, US. 8.5% alc./vol

This one was super bitter, drinking it was like eating the peel off a lemon. I cant really say I enjoyed this beer, maybe a beer you have to get used to?
I give it only 2 out of 5.

no.3 Stone Levitation Ale

Stone Brewing Co. San Diego, California, US 4.4% alc./vol

American Amber/Red Ale. Really bitter, really good! Nothing you would drink a lot of, but very tasteful. 2007 Gold Medal Winner in the Great American Beer Festival.
Very satisfying, I give it 5 out of 5!

no.2 Hofbrau Original

Today’s beer was Hofbrau Original from Hofbrau Munchen, Germany. It’s an ale, and I thought it was really fresh, like a pilsner but with a ritcher flavor. Definenitley something to quench your thirst.
Perfect after an 11 hour work day! I give it 4 out of 5.

no.1 Saigon Export

Super excited to see what my first beer would be and was a little disappointed at first, cos the label was a little lame and not very promising. But then it turned out, the beer was fairly good!
Saigon Export from Saigon Beer Company, Vietnam
4.9% alc./vol.
A bit malty which is right up my alley, but it was a little to fizzy for my taste.
I would definitely chose this one over any lager, but there are better beers out there, I give it 3 out of 5.
Observation: I rarely see beers with the foil around the neck anymore, maybe because I mostly drink American craft beers?
