Dec 18th, Stone Pale Ale

We all know I love everything that comes out of Stone Brewery so it is to no surprise that I give Stone Pale Ale from Stone Brewing Company in Escondido, CA 5 out of 5!

The label says;

Dec 9th, Fire Rock Pale Ale

I was nodding to myself as I took the first sip of today’s beer; Fire Rock Pale Ale from Kona Brewing Company, Kona, HI. Yes, this is how beer should taste! Definitely a 5 out of 5!

The label says;
Active volcanoes on the big island of Hawaii leave visitors awestruck by their power. The glow of lava as it meets the ocean is an amazing sight. Our Fire Rock Pale Ale is inspired by this place with a bright copper color and rich roasted malt taste. Aloha!
Since 1994, Kona Brewing Co. has been committed to making handcrafted ales and lagers of uncompromised quality. We invite you to visit our brewery and pubs whenever you visit Hawaii. Mahalo!

Dec 4th, Blue Moon Pale Moon

I have to admit I was not super excited when I unwrapped the beer for today;

Blue Moon Belgian-Style Pale Ale Pale Moon from Blue Moon Brewing Company in Golden, CO. To my surprise though, it wasn’t all that bad, and I told W that this is probably one of the better Belgian style beers I’ve had since it’s not so wheaty as I am used to – or maybe I am just growing up… I give this a 3 out of 5.

The label says;
A Belgian-style pale ale crafted with a hint of wheat, orange peel, and hibiscus for a perfectly balanced hop taste and smooth finish.
Pale Moon is our unique take on a pale ale. It’s crafted with a touch of wheat to offer an inviting hop taste with a smooth finish. Pale Moon is brewed with Cascade hops, European malts, and a touch of orange peel and hibiscus-all perfectly balanced in this copper-colored ale. Cheers.

Dec 3rd, Firestone California Pale 31

After a long hike and we had decorated the Christmas tree it was time to open up the beer for today;
Firestone California Pale Ale from Firestone Brewing Company, Paso Robles, CA
I really like this beer, and I’ve had this beer many times before. Definitely a 5 out of 5!

Oktoberfest

It’s already the end of October and we have not had a chance to go to any Oktoberfest parties this year, so we had our own beer tasting party. We picked up a few different kind of beers that we all could share.
Started with a smoked porter from my favorite Stone Brewery.
Starting off with a smoked porter might not be the best choice, as it is pretty dark with a lot of flavors. We moved on to Fullers Organic Honey Dew and I think we’re gonna have to give this beer a second chance as it dint taste much right after the porter.

I’ve seen the Ninkasi beers on the selves for a while now, and I think I’m gonna have to try them all.

I think Rouge might be my second favorite brewery after Stone.

Finishing off with a bang!

no. 17 Mirror Pond Pale Ale

Yup, one of my favorites, Mirror Pond Pale Ale from Deschutes Brewery, Oregon, USA
American Pale Ale 5%alc./vol

One of those beers I would buy a case of to store in the fridge instead of the regular Newcastle.
5 out of 5!
