Breakfast

If you are the first one to wake up and put the fire on, you also get to decide whats for breakfast, right?

Cats

W is out of town so I went over to check on the cats – they are so cuddly! I told them to stay off the booze.

Dentist

It’s always fun to go to the dentist! They thought I needed a “deep clean” whatever that is. But since it is included in the insurance am paying anyway, I might as well use it.

Chin-Ma-Ya is Closing

My favorite noodle place in Los Angeles is closing down, and I am super bummed!
My last bowl of Tan Tan Men.

We went to Far Bar across the street after dinner.

Repeal Day

Today is Repeal Day, we celebrated by going to the Del Monte Speakeasy in Venice. Just as we arrived they rang a bell – I didn’t think much of it and ordered three Old Fashioned’s for me and my friends. It turned out that the bell meant that all drinks were $1 in the bar, and it also turned out my friends had also bought 3 Old Fashioned’s each, so we were stuck with 9 between us… I could only finish 2 and gave my last one away. There is only so much Whiskey I can take in one day!

I Voted!

I woke up bright and early to go vote before work. So much fun! Go Obama!

Voting

Since I just got my American Citizenship, I get to vote in the election this year. Super excited! I got the mail-in ballot and was reading up on all the propositions this morning.

I Am American!

I never thought to much about me getting dual citizenship, it was always just something that would be a practical thing to do, it never really meant that much to me. But today during my citizenship ceremony and when I had to swear my oath, it really hit me that it is a pretty big thing. It is probably one of the biggest things that I have done in my life.
I went out for a few drinks to celebrate and then my room mate had put a McDonalds meal by my door when I got home at the wee hour in the morning, so awesome!

Now, which continent is next?

Citizenship Test

For the last 5 months, I have been very anxious over this stupid American Citizenship test. I love the idea of if you wanna become a new citizen of a country, you should be able to know the basic history, language and rules and regulations of that country, but I have just been very nervous about it.
I was scheduled for my big test today and I nailed it!
They asked me 6 questions:
In which month is the US presidential election?
What is the political party of president of the United States?
What is the two major political parties of United States?
Name a state that boarders Mexico.
Name 3 of the original 13 states.
Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?
As bonus questions they asked if I believe in the constitution and if I agreed to bear arms to defend US in a war. I answered yes on both of those, just to be on the safe side.

After the test, I went out for beers and burgers, cos that’s what Americans do, my friends bought a cake! Now I just have to be sworn in and I’ll be an American!

Celebrating with my awesome friends!
