Tip Tap

Waking up to the sound of water dripping from the sealing down on your floor is not a great way to wake up… I left it at that, called my landlord and took off to work.

Sid…

I dont like Sid when he as accidents in my bed, but waking up with a purring kitten on your chest is pretty sweet!

Escaping

I’ve come to a stage now where I do pretty much anything to avoid doing homework. I had to work yesterday so I thought I was worth some fresh air and a walk on the beach today.

We stopped by the skate park, I soon realized I had forgotten to charge my camera battery though, so I didnt get to take that many photos.

Mardi Gras

This is how we celebrate in Sweden!

I got offered a job today at the bakery where I picked up this delicious Semla. Very flattering! I’m kind of busy right now, but I’m gonna check it out, it might be something I can do for a few hours on the weekends every now and then. I never got sick of baking and miss it sometimes.

Valentines Day Shopping

I tried to take a nap when I got back from the hike, but I was restless and couldnt fall asleep. I decided I wanted ice cream instead and went to the supermarket where I was welcomed by hundreds of red, heart shaped balloons in honer of Valentine’s Day.

Don’t Mind Me!

I’m only trying to work…

We have a new policy in the house; no kittens allowed on the desk! I had to restart my computer to get the vacom tablet to work properly after Sid’s session with it. He loves the mouse!

Sid Vicious

Welcome to your new home!

(He is not really vicious, but he is a punk!)

Back Home

Since there were no delays, canceled flights or lost luggage on my way to Sweden, I should have expected a not so smooth return trip.
The flight from Helsinki, Finland to New York was delayed because of the extra security they had put in after the dude was trying to blow himself up on the KLM flight. They managed to make up some time in the air but it wasn’t quite enough. We landed at 4:40pm and my flight out was at 5:15pm, I was still in hope that I would be able to get my bags and clear customs in time, but when they at 5:15pm announced that they couldn’t open the department in the plane which my bags were in I realized I had a long night in front of me. I missed the flight.
I was put on the next flight that was supposed to leave at 7:10pm, it departed at 7:40pm and I fell asleep right away. I woke up a couple of hours later by the pilot announcing there were something wrong with the plane and we were to return to JFK where a new plane was waiting for us. We took off from New York at midnight, one hour after I was supposed to have been back in Los Angeles.
I was home by 4am, about 33 hours door to door.
