Funäsdalen in February

Spent a couple of weeks in Funäsdalen and a lot of things happen that I failed to document.

Our friends produced a kid since the last time we were here and they also rescued a cat while we were here. It’s been so damn cold lately so the poor cats’ ears had frost bites and the tips fell off!

My brother and kids showed up as well.

New York City

We had way better luck with the weather for the rest of the week, though it was very cold!

Statue of liberty

Meeting up with my parents in New York City and we took the ferry over to Liberty Island to check out the statue.

Riksgränsen-KRN-AGH-Helsingør

Made it from the very north of Sweden to the very south to visit my family. And when you’re in the south of Sweden you have to take the ferry over to Denmark to eat their amazing ice cream!

Hike Nordals

Yes there’s lifts and we have lift passes, but you’re supposed to hike Nordals when you are in Riksgränsen.

LAX-KRN-Riksgränsen

It’s quite a long hike. Los Angeles to Stockholm with a connection in London Heathrow (where Asher forgot his helmet on the plane). Then Stockholm to Kiruna, one night in Kiruna before a few hour train ride to Riksgränsen.

While in Kiruna, we did some sightseeing.

Not much to see though to be honest if you only have a few hours to spare. They do have an iron mine, it is quite massive.

Got to stock up on godis for the week!
