Trying on bridesmaids dresses

Turns out, when you are selected to be a bridesmaid at a friends wedding, you get to try on dresses 5 months in advance, that’s crazy! We are all pretty easy going though so it went smooth. I only had one request and that was for the dress to have straps so I didn’t have to be one of those girls that walk around at the party being uncomfortable and pulling up my dress all the time to make sure my boobs won’t fall out. Everyone else was game for that as well, so we’re all good!

Found a dress that everyone liked after not too long. They didn’t have the dress in my size so I ordered a size smaller. I guess I’m gonna have to cut back on those ice cream dinners. I’ve got 5 months to make it happen!

Hello Shitty Museum

I had really no desire to go to the Hello Kitty exhibit at the Japanese American National Museum, but then I got an invite for the opening day, so why not.

Wedding planning

Friends are getting married, and since I called it before they officially started dating 5 years ago, I get to be in the party and help with the planning!

Zuma Beach

Since it’s 5000 degrees out, we decided to have a beach day!

Saw a bunch of dolphins!

The water was super nice and the lifeguard kept themselves busy. Someone was not so lucky and had to be airlifted.

Housewarming Party

6 months after moving in, Leo finally had a housewarming party.

I got him a Jenga as a housewarming gift, because every house needs a Jenga!

Earthquake Kit

My friend has been slapping me on my fingers because I don’t have enough food and water at home to survive for 4 days in the aftermath of a major earthquake.
I ran off to the store with the tail between my legs and picked up water and canned tuna. Still didn’t get the approved stamp though, apparently I need more water.

Birthday Bash

It was Fei’s birthday this week, we celebrated today.
Took the metro to Downtown LA.

Fei is obsessed with french macaroons, so the first stop was Bottega Louie.

I like the being downtown, it feels like I am in a proper city.

Scavenger hunt at the Grand Central Market.

Drinks at Perch before heading off to dinner.

Happy Birthday

It’s Winn’s birthday tomorrow, but we couldn’t get our schedules to work so we surprised her with a small celebration on her rooftop today.

I made marängsviss, because I think it is delicious!

Cults at Santa Monica Pier

Cults were playing the Twilight Series at the Santa Monica Pier, we had some beer in a photo booth before heading down to the concert.

We usually hang out down there at the beach, but the sound down there is awful, so we wanted to stay on the pier this time.

We were a little busy gossiping and kind of missed that Cults was already up on stage and doing their show. I guess I was a little disappointed I didn’t pay more attention. I saw them a bunch when they were promoting their debut album, but that was a couple of years ago so I wanted to see how they were holding up nowadays. Still had a ton of fun though!
