Sound of Music at the Bowl

The Hollywood Bowl season is here. My first event was the Sound of Music sing-a-long. I used to watch this movie every Christmas, now I watch it every summer. I love everything about this movie! It was 50 years ago the movie came out this year, and the bowl was sold out, amazing!

Everyone lit up their phones as the Captain sang Edelweiss.

I didn’t decide if I wanted to go until the very last minute, but I am glad I did. It was a great show and I had a ton of fun, despite all the smoke from the funny smelling cigarettes.

Said the Whale at the Bootleg Theater

Said the Whale was playing the Bootleg. I’m not super familiar with their music but it’s been a while since I’ve been to the Bootleg so I wanted to go anyway.

Irontom was warming up and I thought they were super weird at first but they got better after a few songs.

Said the Whale was ok, a little to mellow for my taste.

The Sound of Music sing a log at Hollywood Bowl was such a blast last year so we had to come back this year!

Got the same goody bag as last year…

Everyone got their phones out when the Captain was singing Edelweiss. What an awesome movie!

Elvis Costello at Hollywood Bowl

I finally got to see Elvis Costello so now I can check that off the list!

He played the Hollywood Bowl and it was super good! I expected it to be good, but not this amazing. He made some really good versions of Accidents Will Happen, Veronica and Watching the Detectives among a bunch of others.
