Headed straight to the double black diamond, cause that’s how you teach a 9 year old how to ski. He did great for two turns and then slid down the rest.
Went again and he owned it the second time!

So the first day when we skied Funasfjallet, I was hating on this lazy lift operator that was listening to music through his headphones and seemed totally uninterested in helping us with the t-bar. I was bitching about the lazy youths to Asher all the way up in the lift.
The next day I saw him at after ski at the cafe and it turns out he was actually really nice, haha!
He showed us around the third mountain today, Tänndalen. It’s always so much more fun to ski with a local that knows the mountain.
Back to Edith for some afternoon baking.
There was a late night party at the Cafe, Chef Erik made an amazing meal and we got to sit by the kids table.
We still managed to fuck up the club later!
Jumped in the car after breakfast and drove 20 minutes to Ramundberget. Why is it so cold in Sweden though?
The chefs made pizza for dinner. Amazing!
I’ve been in Sweden for how long now? And I’ve already had two pizzas and two semmels. I’m not sure how this gonna end…
The cafe is located just across the street from the ski lift. Super convenient, we could just walk over when we were ready to ski after breakfast.
The giant village of Funäsdalen!
Asher is getting ready for some epic turns, pretending he’s not cold at all.
It’s cold as hell and we’re slightly jet lagged so we headed back to the cafe for late lunch.
I used to be pretty damn good at baking, but it’s been a while. Veronica must have thought I did a good job in the morning thought cause I was allowed back in the afternoon.
We had quite a long drive ahead of us so we went to the grocery store to stock up on snacks, how can you go wrong with a store named City Gross?
Introduced Asher to the world of Swedish chocolates.
A few hours later after driving in pitch black on shitty icy roads while listening to Swedish radio and solving world problems, we came across these fellas.
I am quite an excellent co-driver and I’ve been around reindeers on shitty icy roads before so I saw them way ahead. I missed to communicate that to the driver though so we almost bumped into them. Reindeers are also kind of stupid and they won’t move even if a car get’s right up behind them. We got some nice photos and it felt like whatever happen the rest of the weeks in Sweden, it wouldn’t matter, we got to see reindeers!
Made it up to Funäsdalen shortly after 2am.
We stayed in June Lake this time and visited the brewery. Definitely a Must Do if you stay in June Lake!
