We went up to Santa Barbara for Jessicas bachelorette party. I got a little worried when they said they wanted to spend the day on a yacht, but the ride was pretty mellow.
We saw a whale in the distance!
We ended the night with a penis pinata, because that’s what you’re supposed to do!

Turns out, you just not only ski for free on your birthday, you also get a bunch of other fun deals. I got a free glass of sparkly wine for up to 10 of my friends at the Bottlerock, the wine bar in Culver City. Smashing!

Work
I like my office. I have the best spot in the back where I can see everything. The sun is bothering my co-worker two desks down so she always puts up an umbrella for a few minutes each day, it cracks me up. We also do Wine Thirty when someone need to find inspiration, it’s birthday week so we got bubbly today!
Trying on bridesmaids dresses
Turns out, when you are selected to be a bridesmaid at a friends wedding, you get to try on dresses 5 months in advance, that’s crazy! We are all pretty easy going though so it went smooth. I only had one request and that was for the dress to have straps so I didn’t have to be one of those girls that walk around at the party being uncomfortable and pulling up my dress all the time to make sure my boobs won’t fall out. Everyone else was game for that as well, so we’re all good!
Found a dress that everyone liked after not too long. They didn’t have the dress in my size so I ordered a size smaller. I guess I’m gonna have to cut back on those ice cream dinners. I’ve got 5 months to make it happen!
Mandatory bubbly wine after girls gone shopping!
Crazy Sunday
I didn’t actually run around like a crazy person today, but it kind of felt like it. Got a late 10am start on the day, had to do laundry, clean up my place a little and tap up the glogg in bottles. All before 1pm when the rooftop party at the Winn started. Then on to late night drinks at Bodega Wine Bar in Santa Monica.

I love the wine country and want to head up there at least once every 6 months – combining it with camping just makes it even better!
I think Gainey’s is really benefitting from being the first winery you hit on the way from Santa Barbara. I’m gonna have a wine cellar like this one day!

I really like Buttonwood! They have the “family own” feel more than a big commercialized winery.
