Dec 21st, Christmas Ale
The label says;
This is the thirty-seventh “Our Special Ale” from the brewers at Anchor. It is s old only from early November to mid-January. The Ale’s recipe is different every year, but the intent with which we offer it remains the same: joy and celebration of the newness of life. Since ancient times, trees have symbolized the winter solstice when the earth, with its seasons, appears born anew.
Dec 20th, Ellie’s Brown Ale
The label says;
Named after our beloved chocolate lab, this beautiful, deep russet brew is dominated by a chocolate and brown sugar maltiness with hints of vanilla and nuts, producing a very smooth, well balanced and quaffable brown ale.
Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, hops, and yeast.
Dec 19th, Snow Day Winter Ale
The label says;
With 3 feet of powder closing the roads, a brewery is not a bad place to get snowed in, Given the unanticipated hall pass of a snow day, our brewers decided to experiment. Hmm… what about this dark caramel roasted Midnight Wheat braced with a serious load of Syrian Goldings, Centennial and Cascade hops? Shovel it in. What a deliciously unexpected way to spend a SNOW DAY!
Dec 18th, Stone Pale Ale
We all know I love everything that comes out of Stone Brewery so it is to no surprise that I give Stone Pale Ale from Stone Brewing Company in Escondido, CA 5 out of 5!
The label says;
Gar-goyle… a fearsome figure carved from stone that has powers to wand of evil spirits, Our Stone gargoyle wards off modern day evil spirits such as chemical preservatives, additives & adjunts. One taste, and you can tell he does his job very well.

Dec 17th, Old Scratch Amber Lager
The beer of the day; Old Scratch Amber Lager from Flying Dog Brewery, Frederick, MF. Very nice beer, I like the slacker design on the label as well! If it has to be a lager, it should be an amber lager. 5 out of 5!
SantaCon Los Angeles
Yup, just a bunch of Santas hanging out, having a beer or two…
Playboy Santa was there, it is Hollywood after all…
This guy in the middle has been in some movie, cant remember which one though.
Then a bunch of clowns showed up which were total party poopers and bummed me out, so we felt it was about time to head back home.
