Disneyland

It’s been 7 or 8 years since I last went to Disneyland, and I’ve been wanting to go back for quite some time. Not because I liked it so much, I think I just wanted some sort of confirmation that it’s not really my thing.

I am not a big fan of roller-coasters, cotton candy or overpriced hotdogs, but there’s plenty of other things to do. We got to learn how to draw Tigger, I failed miserable. I still dont know how I passed my Drawing For Communication class.

My friends tricked me into doing the Tower of Terror. I thought it was gonna be a scary place where you walked around getting scared by freaky people. Didn’t know it was just gonna be an elevator that was going up and down in a really high speed. All I could think of was “do not throw up, do not throw up, do not throw up”.

The real reason we went down to Anaheim and Disneyland was really to get an autograph from Martin who had an artist signing at the WonderGround Gallery.

His stuff displayed at the gallery.

On the way home we realized I had a flat tire on the car I’ve been holding hostage since January – now I am gonna have to find time to fix that…

Las Vegas

I love Las Vegas! I am not so much into gambling or walking around in 8″ heels, I am more into watching people making a fool out of themselves!
I’m gonna gave a wine cellar like this one day!

We came across a slot contest, very interesting! It seems like the one who could hit the button most time during a 15 minute time slot won $15 000.

Tourists with jogging shoes, a must!

I am not sure if this is the good or the bad part of Las Vegas…

A Silent Film at the Troubadour

I was excited to go see Gold Fields at the Troubadour tonight, but it turned out they were super boring live. A Silent Film was supporting thought, and they were really good!

Becks

I love it when friends come by and drop off a case of beer for no apparent reason!

Mt Baldy

Mt Baldy is just some 90 minute drive from my place and I found a cheap Groupon for half off on lift tickets so I thought it was totally worth checking out.

I got a lot of nostalgia feelings and starting to think of the small club fields in New Zealand when we got there as it was super tiny with old lifts and portable toilets.

Skiing was not awesome, but I get excited just if I get to touch the snow and breed the fresh air, and I fell in love with Mt Baldy, will have to come back here again and again! 90 minutes from my door, how awesome!

How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse

I have a few friends that are obsessed with Zombies.
We went to a show that would teach us How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse.
The show was awesome! We all got a name tag and a paper with the letter A written on one side and B on the other.
The host then asked a bunch of questions and you got to answer using A or B and if you got the answer wrong, you were dead and got to take your name tag off. You were also automatically considered dead if you had a certain insurance company or if you were left handed amongst other things.
I died about halfway into the show, and I knew right away I was gonna die because I made a stupid choice – the question was;
Where would you go hide, an abandoned church up on a hill or at a hospital? I chose a hospital, that is so stupid!

Icona Pop at the Troubadour

We went bowling this afternoon, so much fun!

We made up silly names, I was Handi Cap, thinking I was hilarious!

Icona Pop played at the Troubadour tonight, they were awesome!

They invited everyone up on stage during the last song, so much party!

Valentines Day

I was out having a couple of beers on Valentines Day and came home to a drunk and upset Bjorn

Big Bear

After a night of birthday partying, I was not that keen on getting up at cracker dawn, but then when I realized I got up to go skiing, I quickly woke up!
It’s about a 3 hour drive to get to Big Bear and after a while we got to see snow, so exciting!

Halfway up the hill we started to see smoke coming up and I thought I made a joke saying “oh look, a truck is on fire!” But then the traffic started to move more slowly and eventually came to a complete stop. We were sitting still for two hours, good times! Turned out a car did caught on fire.

We finally made it up the hill, only made it to a half day of skiing, but totally worth it!
