It was Martin Hsu’s birthday earlier this week, but we were celebrating him today and I made him a cake. I got help with the decoration from Mika and Winnie, we made a Panda Bear since he is Chinese.

Last Day at California Baby
Today was my last day at California Baby, I learned a lot but grew out of it quick and I am super excited to move on to bigger and better adventures! I got Sprinkles Cupcakes from my co-workers on my last day.
Oscars Party
The annual ABC Casa Oscars Party was today! I had heard Ikea is selling Semlor for the season, and I know it’s kind of late, but since I was in the neighborhood anyway I swung by to see if I could pick some up for the Oscars tonight. It turned out they looked incredible sad, but I really wanted one so I bought some anyways.
So when I came home I took off to the store and got some whipping cream and gave semlorna a facelift, now they looked yum, and it was a success at the party!
We had an Oscars Pool, guess all the winners – participants had to leave $5 in the hat.
Whitey was the guest of honor…
and he did a great job walking around to say hi to everyone and leave some trace of his fur on the guests cloths.

Mammoth Sunday
As long as there’s no “flat light” or just pure ice, I dont really care what the snow conditions are like, I think all of them has its charm. Fresh powder is off course my favorite, but I can also appreciate some slushy spring snow (or leg breaking/knee busting snow as I like to call it), or a well prepared slope where you can go really fast! Today was a go really fast day, and the good thing with a bad season is that there’s not a lot of people in your way!

Another Weekend in Mammoth
I had so much fun in Mammoth last weekend so I decided to go up again this weekend. Woke up to almost blue skies!
The clouds later rolled in and even if the snow wasn’t as good as last weekend, my boots – that I was ready to toss last weekend, treated me very well and my feet did not hurt at all. Now I am gonna have to think twice about getting a new pair for next season.
Saint Motel At The Belasco Ballroom
It’s Valentines Day and we went to see Saint Motel. I didn’t bring my camera, but I borrowed Leo’s to snap a couple of photos.
Mammoth Day 2
There were some “dusting” overnight, so I made a point of getting up early for some great fresh snow. I got to borrow a better camera today as well. Doesn’t this make you want to go skiing?
We only stayed at the mountain half day so we could get back to LA fairly early, but we wanted to stop by the hot springs on the way home. We made a wrong turn and ended up by a hot creek instead – that wasn’t very hot…
Came back to LA in time for dinner – noodles at my favorite restaurant in Sawtelle.
Mammoth
It’s been a pretty poor season this far with not much snow, but I was super excited to go skiing this weekend! I guess a little too excited as I forgot to bring the battery to my camera… had to rely on the good old iPhone today!
