It all started a couple of months ago now with me booking a ski vacation in New Zealand in August. I decided I wanted to be in decent shape and have some elevation in my legs so I dont get too far behind when the guys decide to hike the mountains.
On the first weekend hike, it was just two of us, but each week, more people are joining the group and today was a great turnout! A total of 13 of us made the “Burnt Down Hotel Hike” in Pasadena. The hotel open up in 1894 with a cable cart taking guests from Pasadena up to the hotel. The hotel unfortunately burnt down an early February morning in 1900 and was never restored.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>It is getting really hot early in the day now when the summer is here, so we have to start the hikes early. We started at 9am today and the moon was with us for the first part of the hike.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>We made it to the top and came to the conclusion that the smog from the pollution or the downtown Los Angeles skyline was probably not the view back in 1894.<\/p>\n

<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>Left overs from the old cable cart that took the guests up to the hotel, funny how its just been hanging out here for over 100 years!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>The foundations from the hotel is still there, and off course, art in the old water reservoir.<\/p>\n
